Required Sustainability Reporting for Food Suppliers
KERAMIDA assists numerous food suppliers to Walmart and Sam’s Club with their compulsory Project Gigaton™ and THESIS disclosures.
Project Gigaton™ reporting requires Walmart suppliers to disclose their targets and metrics related to Energy, Waste, Packaging, Transportation, Nature, and Product Use & Design.
THESIS reporting is specific to the supplier’s product categories (e.g., Beef, Prepared Foods, etc.) and requires information about Category-specific KPIs, Manufacturing KPIs, and Supply Chain KPIs. KPIs are related to topics such as Animal Welfare, GHG Emissions, Worker Health and Safety, and Water Use Intensity.
KERAMIDA provides training to supplier staff on disclosure basics, guides data collection, and drafts disclosures. Following submittal, KERAMIDA works with suppliers to strategize for the next reporting period and to implement a roadmap for continually improving performance.
