GHG Verification & Emissions Reduction Modeling for PNC Bank

Since 2019, KERAMIDA has been performing third-party verification of PNC Bank’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and total energy consumption in alignment with ISO 14064-2:2019 for GHGs.
Our GHG verification tasks have included:
Conducting interviews with personnel who represent key functions for supporting the environmental inventory management process
Reviewing the processes used to collect, aggregate, and report on environmental data and metrics
Assessing PNC’s environmental information management system
KERAMIDA’s methods included:
Assessing proper selection and management of all relevant environmental data and information
Assessing the processes for collecting and managing such data
Evaluating the processes that ensured the accuracy of this data
Performing spot audits for these processes that generate, gather, and manage the information
Baseline Adjustments & GHG Reduction Target Modeling
In addition to verification, KERAMIDA provided recommendations for the appropriate adjustments to the baseline emissions based on the recent mergers and to ensure that these mergers did not significantly impact PNC's internal GHG reduction goals. KERAMIDA modeled emissions from both PNC and merged operations along with subsequent GHG reductions as a result of Scope 2 reduction strategies.
