A Pledge to Our Employees from CEO, Vicky Keramida

On the evening of March 15, 2020, as the reported Coronavirus cases and deaths, and job layoffs, were increasing at a staggering exponential rate all over the country, I wrote a company-wide email to my employees offering what I hoped would be some much-needed solace and reassurance during this unprecedented crisis. I made a pledge to not layoff any employees or reduce salaries due to the Coronavirus pandemic. My message read, in part:

As KERAMIDA is battling, like other companies, to win the virus war for our people’s health and our financial survival, I want to assure all our Associates that KERAMIDA cares about its people and will honor its commitment to support their needs in any way we can, including providing salaries, even if projects are stalled.

Please take care of yourself and your family in this difficult time, without financial worries. And please continue to give your excellent service to our clients.

We are in this pandemic together and together we will prevail.
— Company-Wide Email From CEO, Vicky Keramida (March 15, 2020)

My pledge to our employees was made long before any announcement about possible government financial help, and continues to hold true today even without any help from the SBA. In fact, KERAMIDA continues to hire staff amidst the COVID-19 crisis, and still observed Good Friday by giving the day off as a paid Holiday to all our employees, as we have done every year.

We are here for our clients and we will continue to be here for them, intact, when the crisis is over.

Thank you,

Vicky Keramida, Ph.D.
