This in-person OSHA 30-Hr Construction Course is designed for entry to senior level construction workers, contractors, site supervisors, foremen and safety managers.

OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course Details

Course Curriculum:

KERAMIDA’s 30-Hour Construction classroom course follows the basic outline below and will accommodate requests for specific topics where allowable by the OSHA Outreach Program guidelines.

*This course also includes a discussion of hazards not regulated by a particular standard, such as ergonomic and heat hazards.

Required OSHA Topics:

  • Managing Safety and Health

  • OSHA Focus Four

    • Falls

    • Electrocution

    • Struck-By (falling objects, trucks, cranes, etc.)

    • Caught-In or Caught-Between (trench hazards, equipment, etc.)

  • Personal Protective and Lifesaving Equipment

  • Health Hazards in Construction

  • Stairways and Ladders

Elective Topics may include:

  • Concrete and Masonry

  • Confined Space Entry

  • Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Elevators, and Conveyors

  • Ergonomics

  • Excavations

  • Fire Protection and Prevention

  • Materials Handling, Storage, Use, and Disposal

  • Motor Vehicles, Mechanized Equipment, and Marine Operations; Rollover Protective Structures and Overhead Protection; and Signs, Signals, and Barricades

  • Powered Industrial Vehicles

  • Safety and Health Programs

  • Scaffolds

  • Steel Erection

  • Hand and Power Tools

  • Welding and Cutting

  • Foundations for Safety Leadership

Optional Topics

  • The course may include other construction industry hazards or policies and/or expansion of mandatory or elective topics.

  • The course material may also integrate company-specific material as requested or necessary in accordance with OSHA Outreach parameters. Company-specific material may include policies, procedures, and/or elements of select organization safety programs.
