This confidential Client is a U.S. software company that is the leading provider of highly scalable development and DevOps solutions. KERAMIDA is supporting the Client's development of an Environmental Sustainability Program. Our tasks to date have included benchmarking the Client’s peers and customers and conducting a materiality assessment to prioritize key Environmental topics.
KERAMIDA led the task of refreshing JBS USA’s list of material topics in order to understand how stakeholder expectations had shifted with recent disruptive events. KERAMIDA’s sustainability consultants helped JBS USA with its preparation and disclosure to CDP, including mock scoring JBS USA’s CDP submission.
KERAMIDA completed a Level I Sustainability Assessment for a confidential Client that provides power plant support services at approximately 50 locations in over 20 states. Our experts provided recommendations to serve as a roadmap for strategically communicating the Client’s sustainability journey.
This confidential Client is a privately held manufacturer and marketer of packaged and value-added foods and is one the largest prepared food manufacturers in the U.S. KERAMIDA supports this Client with ESG program development and Project Gigaton™ reporting, which is required of all food suppliers to Walmart.
KERAMIDA has been advising Trinity Renewables Technology on the applicability of the HyperPhilic Process to municipal waste conversion to energy; on the overall role of this technology to a circular economy and to GHG emissions reduction strategies; on applicable municipal waste generation rates; and, on the permitting needs of the HyperPhilic Process Waste Conversion Plant.
KERAMIDA was retained by Algaewheel to assist in gaining regulatory approval for Algaewheel’s patented process of treating wastewater with algae for accomplishing two important goals: Treat wastewater with significantly less energy requirements than current technologies, offering significant cost reduction and CO2 credit opportunities; and generate biofuels from the algae generated.
KERAMIDA provided policy development services to the City of New Albany, Indiana for energy and GHG reductions related to a Federal Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG). Grant funds were directed toward developing an Energy Management System focused on maximizing cost-savings and minimizing GHG emissions associated with the City operations’ energy use, including electricity, natural gas, and fuel (Phase 1) and to develop and implement a pilot Energy Audit Program (Phase 2).
KERAMIDA conceived of an innovative and effective pilot program for neighborhood-scale energy efficiency retrofits of structures and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reduction. KERAMIDA developed the project concept and structure, formed the core partners group necessary to confirm commitments and identify leveraged funds, and completed all aspects of the project scope details, budget requirements, and timeline.
As the Sustainability Program Lead for the RebuildIndy infrastructure improvement initiative, KERAMIDA’s role was to place the sustainability umbrella over all public works projects, including the development and implementation of sustainability principles and sustainable design elements for all public works capital projects.
ESG Reporting Projects
KERAMIDA supported Green Hygienics, a large provider of hemp-derived CBD products, with its inaugural ESG Report, which was prepared for the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. Our work included a materiality assessment and alignment with SASB Standards to create a bespoke SASB index, and an ESG Report, inclusive of GHG inventory, content creation, and design.

This confidential Client is an American seafood company with a cutting-edge seafood manufacturing plant. The Client produces frozen seafood products sold in supermarkets under its own and other brands, and also supplies restaurants from fast food to fine dining, selling products in all 50 states. KERAMIDA supports this Client with Project Gigaton™ reporting, which is required of all food suppliers to Walmart.
The California State Teachers' Retirement System (CalSTRS) is the nation's second-largest public pension fund with assets totaling approximately $246 billion as of June 30, 2020. KERAMIDA reviewed the CalSTRS Sustainability Report and materiality assessment (3 material topics – Path to Full Funding, Member Retirement Preparedness, and Information Security) and presented our findings and recommendations to CalSTRS’ leadership team
KERAMIDA provided technical support to Indianapolis’ Office of Sustainability in 2013 as the city became one of 31 pilot communities to implement the STAR Community Index ratings system, a framework for measuring and reporting municipal leadership in sustainability encompassing the social, economic, and environmental dimensions of an entire community.
ESG/Sustainability Audits
Subaru of America, National Parks Conservation Association, and National Park Foundation teamed up to cut the amount of landfill waste produced by national parks as part of the “Don’t Feed the Landfills Initiative.” Subaru engaged KERAMIDA's sustainability experts to conduct Waste Characterization Studies at Denali National Park, Grand Teton National Park, and Yosemite National Park.
KERAMIDA was contracted by the California State Auditor’s Office to provide expertise on sustainability planning and policy development for infrastructure projects in support of the State Auditor’s audit of the efficiency and efficacy of the policies and practices employed by the California High Speed Rail Authority, which is currently constructing the largest infrastructure project in the U.S.
